We can never relive the past. In between the tick-tocks of the clock, question of “what could have been? Echoes from the innermost of our core. We, at some point, are caught somewhere in the epicenter.
Time wasted equates to chances missed. Chances missed assume a life lost in misery.
Fortunate are those who can achieve everything they dream in life. But luckier are those who lack the riches of the world but can sleep silently without their past running after them.
According to Sigmund Freud, a psychoanalyst, our subconscious mind works to repress memories or experience that we do not enjoy pondering on. But the existence of these scraps would never be refuted, unless we take the courage to confront them, and eventually win over them.
Admit it or not, somewhere along the extensive and windy roads of our lives, we had become prisoners of our past. We had been stubborn to follow the map that was handed to us. We took the left turn when it should have been the other way around. We recklessly go on even if the red light shouts stop. We drive blindfolded and before we knew it, BLAG!
DEAD END.
The bottom line is, life never runs out of problems. Life is never fair, they say.
However, choosing to stay stuck or to look for alternative routes may make or break the whole drama. Either way, consequences wait.
Why imprison yourself from all the mistakes of the past? When you can simply choose to drop all the baggages and just move on and get going?
Easier said than done, perhaps.
People usually hide in their own built shells. We are like snails which carry our shells all throughout our lives not knowing that the travel could have been lighter without those.
Moreover, we sometimes forget that human beings are intelligent. What we feel and what we think may come into life. But that’s the irony of being human, we hail ourselves as supreme creatures but we barely realize how to act one.
There comes the pressure. Life’s a series of pull backs and advances while different forces leave us somewhere in the middle. Why not live life half-way between the past and the future?
We can never relive the past. Granted.
But why not revive the present?
Kung mabigat na mabigat na ang dibdib mo at hindi mo na kaya, iiyak mo yan para maka-move on ka agad.
Huwag kang magpanggap na masaya at malakas sa iba kung hindi naman talaga.
I will set you free when it’s finally time for you to go.There’s no easy way to let go of something that i know will never happen again.
But i will face the world around me, knowing that i am strong enough to let you go.
I’m aware that you only came into my life for a while, and that time will come i have to give you up.I cry for the memories. I cry for the pain.
I cry for that times I thought I had you.I know you’re not mine, but holding on to you have become my way to keep me alive.Wish you see the tears run from my eyes, ‘cause it spells the truth about how I really feels inside.Don’t worry, my tears won’t blame you. Those are just the words my heart uses to explain. When even my smiles can’t cover up my pain. It’s been a while still I can’t get out from your shadow.Till this very moment, I’m still trying to pick up those pieces.Thank you for the love and the pain that I’ll always remember.Even now, my heart still aches in sadness and secret tears still flow. One day i can say, finally I’m over you.You are still with me, even though you are not on my side. One day, I will be able to stand next to you without wanting to hold your hand.Somewhere down my journey, I know, I can. :)

“I have reservations with the results. If the only basis is the Q and A portion, after having been trimmed down to 5, Ms. Philippines deserved to win. What made her different from the rest is that she had no seconds to rethink of her answer as she had no interpreter to break the ice. The rest had their interpreters and having breaks on seconds to think about their answers. Hands down, Ms. Philippines answered straight to the point.”
